Data Deletion

You are always in control of your data. Here are the ways to delete it and how our Meta data-deletion callback works.
Option 1 — Disconnect a channel (immediate)
Sign in and go to Settings → Channels. Click Disconnect on Instagram or WhatsApp. This immediately deletes the stored access tokens and stops all message processing for that channel.
Option 2 — Delete your account & business data
Go to Settings → Security → Delete data, or email us. This revokes your Meta connection and removes the associated integration data. Full removal is completed within 30 days.
Option 3 — Email request
Email privacy@msgmaven.com from the email associated with your account with the subject "Data deletion request". We will confirm and process within 30 days.
Meta Data Deletion Callback (for the Meta app)
MsgMaven implements Meta's Data Deletion Request callback. When a user removes MsgMaven from their Facebook settings, Meta sends a signed request to:

Our endpoint verifies the signed request using the app secret, deletes the associated Meta connection data, and responds with a JSON body containing a status url and a confirmation_code. You can check the status of a request at:

Expected timeline
- Token/channel disconnection: immediate
- Meta callback revocation: immediate, status trackable via the confirmation code
- Full data deletion on email request: within 30 days
What gets deleted
- Encrypted access tokens and channel credentials
- Instagram / WhatsApp account linkage records
- The Meta connection associated with the requesting user
- On full account deletion: your business, conversations, messages, contacts and leads
